Jubilee Housing is successful in part because of the rich network of partners that supports our residents. Some of these partners have grown out of Jubilee Housing; some have grown up alongside us. We are deeply grateful for the important work of these partners and the impact they have in our community.
Christ House
Christ House provides comprehensive and compassionate health care to sick, homeless persons in DC, and assists them in addressing critical issues to help break the cycle of homelessness. Some of Jubilee’s units are reserved for Christ House residents.
For Love Of Children
For Love Of Children’s (FLOC’s) program helps students in grades 1-12 achieve grade-level competency in reading and math through one-on-one attention and a structured, step-by-step curriculum. When students are guided at their own pace and engaged through fun and interesting activities, they gain academic skills and confidence in their ability to learn.
Joseph’s House
Joseph’s House provides a welcoming community and comprehensive nursing and support services to homeless men and women with advanced HIV disease and terminal cancer.
Jubilee Jobs
Jubilee Jobs provides job preparation, placement and a community of support for eager, ready to work applicants. In addition to providing job preparation and placement, Jubilee Jobs offers up to two years of continuing support to applicants.
Jubilee JumpStart
Jubilee JumpStart provides early childhood development available on a sliding scale to participants. Located onsite at Jubilee Housing’s Ontario property, it not only provides daily care to children 3 months – 4 years old, but it also manages parent support groups.
Martha’s Table
Located on the first floor of our Maycroft Apartments, Martha’s Table is committed to ensuring that every child enrolled in their early childhood education program is strong by age eight and beyond.They also provide a monthly no-cost healthy food market and the operating hub for McKenna’s Wagon.
Mary’s Center
Mary’s Center provides holistic care in Adams Morgan and across the city, offering medical, dental, and behavioral health services, along with social services and family literacy services all at the same location.
Platform of Hope
The Platform of Hope is a new strategic alliance of five community nonprofits: Jubilee Housing, Jubilee JumpStart, Mary’s Center, Sitar Arts Center, and For Love Of Children. This alliance is a strategic progression of the informal network that has grown over the years as each of these organizations work together to serve mutual clients.
The Potter’s House
The Potter’s House is a nonprofit café, bookstore, and event space in Adams Morgan. With a long tradition as a hub for social justice, it is where Jubilee Housing and many other powerful organizations were conceived and started.
Sitar Arts Center
Sitar Arts Center provides after-school, weekend, and summer classes in the visual arts, music, drama, dance, digital arts and creative writing for 900 students a year. Located at 1700 Kalorama Rd NW, Sitar is next door to Jubilee’s future Kalorama building. As part of Jubilee’s partnership with Sitar, Sitar will expand their digital arts program to the commercial space inside the Kalorama development.
